Here is a very interesting pressed texture deluxe version print
by Willy Exner of A.H. During the war these
were destroyed and vandalized by G.I.'s, after the war they disappeared. This print was
acqired out of Leipzig a few years ago. It has some light wear from being rolled up and has some minor
tape marks on the back of the print. The size of the print is less than 3 feet in height and a
little less than 2 feet in width. The detail with this textured print is amazing for the time period.
The image itself was a commonly seen one during the war. However, this particular poster is less commonly
encountered. The original Hoffmann Catalogues which lists these particular items, the normal poster ran
in the 20RM range while the more elaborate poster such as this ran 30 RM and above depending upon size.
I was lucky to have a Hoffmann specialist that collected all of these types of posters show me the difference
with these type of posters. He also stressed this was a very nice item that should be matted,
framed, and displayed out of direct sunlight with UV inhibiting glass. The Heer breast eagle is not included.
I used it just to relate th scale size of the item.
